Enthusiasm

I wrote this a year before getting sober. I don’t remember being so enthusiastic. Maybe I believed if I wrote about being able to beat this, it would actually happen?

Haters gonna hate

and losers will whine

But why listen to them

You're gonna do just fine

Keep doing what you're doing

Keep on track

Main thing is...

Don't look back

People can be mean

They don't want you to win

But if you believe that

You're selling yourself thin

Push on and keep going

Be better than the rest

You're not going to be that

If you don't be your best

It's easy to quit

And easy to go home

But if you really want this

You have to go on

Fight through the pain

Fight through the tears

Nobody said it's easy

There is so much to fear

Don't give up now

You've come so far

Keep going, keep winning
